Privacy Policy — PDF Majstor

In short: PDF Majstor does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data or your documents to any server. All PDF processing happens locally on your device.
Data the app accesses
- Photos and gallery — When you select images to convert to PDF, the app accesses only the images you explicitly choose. Images are processed on your device and never leave it.
- Camera — If you choose to take a photo or scan a document, the app uses the camera. The capture is used solely to create a PDF on your device.
- Document scanning — To detect paper edges and crop the document, the app uses the scanner built into Google Play services (ML Kit Document Scanner) on Android, or the system scanner on iOS. Image processing happens on the device — captures are not sent to Google's or anyone else's servers.
- Documents (files) — When you select a PDF or another document, the app reads it locally for processing (merging, splitting pages, watermarking, page numbers, annotation). Documents are never sent to anyone.
The app does not collect: your name, email address, location, contacts, device identifiers, or usage data (no analytics, no ads).
Where your files are stored
Created PDFs are stored in the app's private storage on your device. Deleting the app also deletes those files. If you share a PDF using the share option, it goes to the app you choose, and that app's privacy policy applies to it.
Internet access
The app does not send your documents or any data about you to the internet. All tools — including PDF annotation, page organization, and Word document conversion — work entirely on your device, even without a network connection.
The only exception is the first launch of the app on Android: the app makes a one-time request to Google Play services to download the scanner component, so the scanner is ready when you need it. A network connection is required for this download. The download is performed by Play services, and none of your documents, photos, or personal data is sent in the process. After that, the scanner works offline. If there is no network, the app works normally and the component is downloaded later.
Sharing data with third parties
The app does not share any data with third parties, because it does not collect any data in the first place.
Your rights
Since the app does not collect or store your personal data on any server, there is no data we could provide, correct, or delete at your request. All your files reside solely on your device and remain under your control — you can delete them at any time, from within the app or by deleting the app itself.
Children
The app is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
Any changes to this policy will be published on this page with a new revision date.
